- Quotation are invited for Rehabilitation of Cavendish Bridge at Ville Noire. Project Brief: The site of Works is located along Plaine Magnien - Mahebourg Road (A12) at Ville Noire. The Works shall be completed as per schedule given below: 180 Calendar days as from commencement date Cavendish Bridge crosses Rivière La Chaux at Ville Noire. The bridge is approximately 200 m long with a 6.1 m wide carriageway and 1.25 m wide footway on each side of the carriageway. Cantilever steel double C-Section beams are fixed into the concrete superstructure of the bridge. The beams support utility pipes and cables as well as two steel square-shaped hollow purlins through steel anchors. The footways on each side of the bridge consist of wooden planks fixed on the purlins by means of screws The project consists of rehabilitation of Cavendish Bridge along Plaine Magnien - Mahebourg Road, A12, at Ville Noire over an approximate length of 200m. The Works shall consist of the following:- • Repair of the bridge expansion joint; • Replace existing wooden planks by treated timber boards locked by steel rails; • Fix steel bracings to support the U-Section beams Treat all corroded reinforcement bars and seal all cracks with an appropriate cement grout mixture; • • Repair all steel elements; • Sand blasting of whole bridge; • Upgrade drains and footpath at each approach to the bridge; • Upgrade all drainage outlets; • Repair the faulty luminaires; • Provide adequate road furniture; • Landscaping; • Any other works mentioned in the Bidding Document .
